Popeye

Oh, what am I? Some kind of barnicle on the dinghy of life? Oh, I ain't no doctors, but I knows that I'm losing me patience. What am I? Some kind of judge or lawyers? Maybe not, but I knows what law suitks me.
...

Careful there, don't ruffle me feathers. What am I? I ain't no physcikisk, but I knows what matters. What am I? I'm Popeye the Sailor.
...

[singing] I yam what I yam, and I yam what I yam that I yam / And I got a lotta muscle, and I only gots one eye / And I'll never hurt nobodys and I'll never tell a lie / Top to me bottom and me bottom to me top / That's the way it is 'til the day that I drop, what am I? / I yam what I yam

So anyhowsk- what do you think the key ingredient(s) is(are)?

Recipe

Recipe

Recipe:
•Slice your tomato
•Get your lettuce ready
•Get your spinach ready
•Cut French Bread or Baguette, or the like- lengthwise down the middle, and scoop out the bread leaving mainly a crust hull.
•Smear top inside with Vegenaise- or Mayonnaise
•Cut thin slices of Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or your favorite cheese or cheese substitute) and place them inside bottom half of roll.
•Slice thin slices of onion and saute in olive oil
•Place these onions, while still very hot, on top of the cheese on bottom half of bread- their heat will melt the cheese.
•Place slices of Tofurky in the pan still coated with olive oil. Lightly brown on both sides- and place them hot on top of the onions- which will further melt the cheese.
•Add sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and spinach

Nutin' fancy-- the Tofurky ain't the greatest tasting whatever- I include it for protein (can't taste it with all the other stuff anyhow)
but anyway...

80's Part 2

“One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?
Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn't belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you're absolutely...right!”
maybe...
“Well”- I’m a fan of George Washington- and a big fan of Van Gogh- so for me, the different one is Ron- [as I’m not a fan of his]- I think he may have been a nice enough guy, though I never met him, but the data shows that he didn't run the business too well-- monstrous debt. In the late great Gerald Ford's word's: " Reagan was a great spokesman for attractive political objectives" such as a balanced budget and defeating communism, "but when it came to implementation, his record never matched his words."
Reagan was "probably the least well-informed on the details of running the government of any president I knew," Ford said. In a separate interview, he said Reagan "was just a poor manager, and you can't be president and do a good job unless you manage."
Ford contended his own negotiation of the Helsinki accords on human rights did more to win the Cold War than Reagan's military buildup. Other key factors were the Marshall Plan that helped rebuild Europe after World War II and the establishment of NATO, he said.

Sorry- I'm being a bore- are you sleeping yet- dreaming about the 80's maybe?

80's

Who is this? I remember sketching him a few years back on this scrap of canvasboard- I remember the reference is from a photo in some magazine- I forget which, I know he's a writer- who drank hard, and probably looked in his 80's when he was only in late 60's early 70's-- I just can't remember his name. I'm pretty far from my 80's- I fear what I will forget when I do get near.
