Love those classic cartoons where all that's available to eat is one pea- which the starving character(s) carve-up in order to savor/prolong the enjoyment of eating it- or to share it.
for some reason I immediately had a flash of that Chalie Chaplin scene in "The Gold Rush" where Charlie, starving, lovingly prepares his boot for dinner.
Haha, yeah, I do recall these, probably from the Looney Toons from back in the day. This is really fantastic Andy. Is it a painting (made from paint), a digitally manipulated photo?

Hmmm...this looks like the restaurant we visited not to long ago, where we came home and ate tacos, because we were so hungry! Beautifully done.

It's best not to have too much on your plate :) I love the sliced pea Andy! Pretty dish, too.
Just what I needed...peas and quiet.
Thanks!

I think
It's very sophistication to eat four objects. There is aesthetics, maybe.
