You should be doing medical illustrations. You probably should study Henry Gray's Anatomy first.
Sorry I haven't gotten around much visiting the IFers. Started a new job back in January and other life situations have been challenging, too.
Great off-beat take on the topic, per your usual.
Andy, Andy, Andy. This makes me wonder if you're okay! It's an awesome illustration, my goodness, it's unbelievable! The incision replicating a mouth is eerie. The liquid (bile?) pouring into the glass is a great touch, but my mind wonders what made you think of this. It's the protective side of me wanting to make sure you're okay. I can be so literal at times. Remember, I have great nursing skills even though I reserve them for the 4-legged variety most times.
