:My stepmom's ex-husband's mother, they have remained friends with each other. (It's nice when ex's and all get along; my mom is friends with her ex [my dad]- and she always has him and his current wife to TG dinner, and Christmases are together as well. We all need to get along in this balloon).

This is a tender illustration. I like it when ex's get along too. I was very close to my ex-inlaws. They thought I was a gem (and of course they were right!)

I feel the same way as Lolo, I was moved by this immediately (before reading the commentary). I love the contrast of the older woman and the balloons. This captures so much.
Yes, it's wonderful (for you) and everyone that your mother has kept the connection going. We learn so much from letting go and being friends after much hardship/disconnect.
