ohhhhhhhh Andy, soooooo glad you are back ;-))))))))))))) this is really cute because i thought pet peeves was some kind of food for pets, so, i was checking in internet .... human behavior, yesssssss ??? and you are flying off with your little bird .... happyyyyyyyyyyyy easter too !!! big hugssssssss and kissessssssss me
I've missed you. Pet peeves can never be resolved, and I don't think mine are as strong as this poor man seems pocessed by, though annoying all the same. Love how you illustrated this one!
It's the quantity, the sum of all the little things, that can get people- at which point they either let go (of at least some pets) or are dragged away by them. I guess it's that- how one looks at things, reacts (internally & externally), and a balance thing-- ohmmmm ohmmm- urrrrrg- and trying not to be so serious. I know someone who was bothered by every little thing, deemed everything as 'wrong.' His wife-to-be changed him- he's now happy and way less peeved by stuff. But haven't been in touch in a few months- I think I'll email him to see how it's going- hope it's all good.-- Pet Peeve #?: me rambling on/babbling. (Maybe I should spare him the email). Thanks Miri- that eye is so cool!
Andy Andy, you're back!! This is a powerful image, the pushing and pulling and trying not to be sucked into the minutia of the little things that can get under our skin. I really consider myself to be a person who doesn't sweat the small stuff, but then look at the crap I came up with on my post! I can be as whiny as the next person, I guess. It's a matter of balance, no? If we feel balanced and life seems easy, then these petty things won't disturb us. Except noisy gum chewing ;) Missed you...welcome back!
I iil'd a mountain out of a mole hill. Miri and you have it right: pet peeves aren't so "strong" - and mostly don't even need resolving- and almost, if not totally, do roll of the back (but I guess they can add up). Def I'd never associate 'whiny' with StudioLolo- it's such a beautiful, peaceful, positive place. Thanks Laurel. If I didn't whine sometimes- I think I'd explode- yeah balance.

So good to see you back Andy. I love how you showed the words as little beasts you are pulling the weight of. Great quote as well!
Very cool style and great use of color - best use of the "pet" I've seen this week!
