Tubes? of?

Oil (causes such %$#@'n'! trouble)

Watercolor (What are the words? (When I can't remember a word, name, phrase, etc. (which is too often the case)- I run through the alphabet till it hits me).

Mixed Media (I'm not a purist (sometimes or often)- and I guess everything is mixed media anyway)

Diagram of hinged triptych (one literal way that "the medium is the message"?)

and Blog:
What exactly did Marshall mean irt, "the medium is the message"?
"the global village."

Wow Andy! I don't even know what to say. I'm truly amazed that people of your caliber even comment on my work. You blow me away every time.

Oh wait! I forgot to say that I do that alphabet thing too when I can't remember something. And I often SING the alphabet song. Sad.

Andy:
This is truly one of your best, both as an interpretation of the theme and as a drawing.

I am immensely curious, do you do this for a living?
Where did you learn to draw so well?
I am occasionally moved to bouts of envy. This is one of those times.
Regards,
Neil

think i like the 1st panel best since it reminds me of some of those deep water creatures i saw lately on NHK and was thinking how they would make so good art. (see u beat me to it lol) but seriously there all are great well done

This is great! I think the hinged triptych would make a cool display at the opening, but there's no star by your thumbnail.
Anyway, I really like how you pulled it all together in the third panel.

Why aren't you entering one of these, and any one of them will due, although the third piece down, I especially like.
Does the tattered umbrella have the continents living on it?
I have to look at your work and wonder how you come to the ideas, and marvel at the rendering of those ideas with beauty, but I have to admit, the mystery often, at least to me of your reasoning.

Andy, did you see what Neil wrote? I have Snorkblog envy. You deserve the comment he left. You're both heroes of mine. Miri as well.

So that's what he was doing- haha
Thanks Janice

Laurel- I def. don't believe my 'caliber' is above yours- we are all just different in style. I don't have the talent to create what you create. You have a gift- I'm looking for mine. Looking at your work and others here gives me inspiration.
Thanks mucho.
(Hahaha- well- maybe I'll try singing it [alphabet] next time too).

Thanks Neil- too kind- I truly envy your style, energy, and interpretation every time.
Yes- I sort of do this for a living.
I can't draw very well- I struggle and need a ton of practice- and even then... Where I tried to learn= went to school, etc.- but not like riding a bike- now I still try and learn with practice (though time is needed)- I'd be embarrassed to go to a fig. drawing session. (I also look at drawing in mirror a lot- mistakes pop out).

Oh yeah MD- I see it- yeah I'm amazed by those deep sea bioluminescent alien creatures too- they are so unbelievable.

Thanks Michelle

Thanks Bluerose9062. No star= kinda long story- part of it is too busy, not dry in time, and lazy.

Thanks Luisa- happy Saturday and bigg huggggsssss to you too

Thanks Miri- reeally wish you had a star by your entry! Would be so awesome to see large print of it on canvas. (why I don't have star- in part, see my response above). Yes- continents. Origins and reasoning is sometimes a blur to me- and I have same wonder & marvel irt your posts.

Thanks GZ- your posts are always amazing- and your prolificness with GZapped, GZen, and ZippyPics!
Peace to you and everybody.
