I don't know anyone in that restaurant- just passing by- not minding- or minding(?) my own business. Not that it has anything to do with any of this- but just now thought to ask-- what do the p's and q's stand for in "mind your p's and q's"?
This is hilarious Andy! I love her "blech" on her tongue. I "Googled" p's and q's definition and it's too much to write. Besides, there are many guesses as to what it means. I always took it to mean manners.Great illo! And thanks for the comments of both of mine. I loved the Groucho reference!
Too funny...belch! I really enjoyed this! (One minor thingy...I just happen to spot them easily. You left out the "r" in ingredients, unless you did so on purpose.) Nevertheless, great illo!
Thanks Laurel! I googled it too- yeah- seems there are a lot of guesses- & yeah- manners is what I always thought of it. Always a pleasure visiting your blog.
Thanks - or 'kyou' Twis!
Thanks Tracy! I'd like to say I meant to leave the 'r' out- but it's a write-o. I will correct it with a carrot and r.
you made me smile, Andy ;-))))) this is really cool !!! i love your hat and the letters in the huge tongue, know we have a kind of pasta in shape of letters ??? when i was a kid i loved to read them in the soup, even now, may be trying to find some message ;-)))))))) well, i know i'm silly, it's ok !!! big hugsssssssssssssssss
Well I'm back, and boy am I tired. I have spent three days on the internet looking for the answer. I haven't even unpacked yet, but I think the answer is; ready, pints and quarts from British pubs, in trying to keep each patrons tab straight. Tada.
The woman with the mouth and the belch, and the letters in the soup, matching the more 'silent' guests desires, is super, and so funny. The chalk board is interesting, and Lincoln is beautiful with goldfish!

Okay, I had to look up the p's and q's thing... could be 'pints and quarts; could be 'pleases and kyous (thank you's)'.
Dig the style and perspective of the soup eater.
