I think I heard or read once that Mother T. said, "Give until it hurts- and then give some more."
The Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, said something to the effect of - help yourself first- so that you'll be better able to help others.

Really cool concept. Great quote from the Lama too.
Sacrifice is a big word, it's meaning runs high and deep, you've made it a bit easier to understand.
I'll have a bowl of ideas to, and see if I can digest a bit of it. Interesting and excellent idea as always
